INITIAL CONSULTATION
I will come to
your home to meet you, have a look at the existing garden and discuss what
type of garden you would like to achieve, I will ask about what you want to
use the garden for, what type of feel you would like me to create, your favourite
colours, particular likes and dislikes etc.. My aim is to provide a garden
that meets all your requirements, that is beautiful, sustainable and practical.
A small fee is made for this initial site visit, which is refunded in full
should you wish to instruct me to create the design for you. |

SURVEY
Once you have
commissioned me to carry out the design work, I will visit site and conduct
a full and detailed site survey which I draw up to provide the basis for
the design planning. I will also take soil samples for analysis and also
take the 'before' photographs.

CONCEPT PLANS
Armed with
the survey plans, your brief and my ideas, I then start to design the
garden and initially produce a couple of rough concept designs. I will
visit you again to present these and we can discuss which of the designs
you like, or sometimes elements of each are used. |

PLANS
Once the concept
is agreed, I will start drawing. I will produce a hand drawn coloured
plan of the finished garden to act as the overall visual guide to what
the garden is going to look like. I also produce detailed hard landscaping
plans, and a full detailed planting plan, along with a specification for
the works.

CREATING THE GARDEN
At this stage,
you may wish to arrange for your own contractor to carry our the works. Alternatively,
I can arrange to obtain estimates for the hard landscaping works, and I also
provide a project management service to ensure that the work is carried out
to the intended plan and standard. |

PLANTING
I provide a plant
supply and planting service. I recommend that this type of work is always
carried out by a designer. Plant positioning is critical and although a planting
plan is produced in advance, some degree of creativity is employed when planting
to ensure that the overall effect is spot on. |
